Parsons Patch

Purpose

The Parson’s Patch presents a display of perennials that grow well in Hamilton County to the public.  The gardens contain Perennial of the Year’ selections and illustrate good gardening practices.  Brochures available on sight provide information to the public.  The bed is located on the east (front) and south side of the Annex building.

History of Committee

The history of the Parsons Patch began in 1987 when it was created and named for Rolla Parsons, the Extension Educator who was instrumental in the implementation of the Master Gardener program and association in Hamilton County.  The bed was completely renovated in 1997-98 and underwent another renovation during the 2008 season.
