Purpose

The Parsons Patch presents to the public a display of perennials that grow well in Hamilton County.  The gardens contain “Perennial of the Year” selections and illustrate good gardening practices.  The bed is located on the east (front) and south side of the Annex building.

History of Committee

This bed was created  in 1987 and named for Rolla Parsons, the Extension Educator who was instrumental in the implementation of the Master Gardener program and association in Hamilton County.  It was completely renovated in 1997-1998 and underwent another renovation during the 2008 season.
