This garden is located on the grounds of the Noblesville United Methodist Church, 10980 E 221st Street, Noblesville, Indiana.
Purpose
Teter Organic Farm grows several varieties of produce and flowers on eight acres of Certified Organic land. The farm also includes 80 acres of woodlands along the White River, 20 acres of hay, and boasts a 30 hive apiary. Teter also has a large Peace Garden boasting a plethora of native and butterfly attracting plants. The Farm’s mission is to increase access to healthy food for the vulnerable and provide ecological education while building relationships and community.
HCMGA volunteers can partner with Teter to enhance their mission and further our own mission as outlined below. Volunteerism is mutually beneficial.
Goals and Desired Outcomes
- Community Engagement and Service
- Assist with the farm’s overall gardening need
- Collaborate with the farm to increase access to healthy food for vulnerable populations through volunteering.
- Partner with Teter in the Spring to help host wildflower walks
- Sustainability and Conservation
- Further develop the Peace Garden’s pollinator friendly plant space
- Promote native plants and biodiversity through garden design and outreach
- Provide signage for native plants
- Participate with elimination efforts of invasive plant species along the river as needed.
- Help with flower donations to local nursing homes
- Volunteers and the community gain confidence and learn new skills

History of Committee
In January, 2025, Loi Mileham and Carla Robinson approached the HCMGA board with a proposal to make this a committee for volunteer and education hours. The board unanimously approved, and a budget was set.
